Latley I’ve been consumed with a vision of this concept with a bigger budget and played completely straight. A true to life sized t-rex, solving a mystery with a cyborg super cop in a dystopian future city sounds rad as hell. And it would be kinda funny if the giant lizard was the “brains” of the operation and is more or less nonviolent while the unassuming lady is actually a murder android incapable of normal human relationships. Let me dream.
I saw this movie back in the '90s. The only thing I remember about it is the "butt trumpet" scene. This movie is where I found out that "trump" means fart. Since the day I saw that movie, every time I hear "trump", I immediately think of farts.
4:02 I was a kid in the 90s and saw this film then and I thought the dino was silly and goofy. I actually wished it had been more realistic. Then again, I also saw Jurassic Park as a kid, so…
Man, I own a original VHS copy of Theodore Rex from when I was a kid. You should cover the 1988 film "Remote Control" The movie is about a Video rental clerk who discovers that his store is circulating a VHS tape of a 1950s sci-fi film programmed by aliens to brainwash viewers, causing them to commit murders. Its horribly good
Omg I remember this shit hahah I used to watch this when I was a kid. But I wasn’t scared and I wanna think it’s because of the dinosaur show that was on Disneyland channel but who knows I liked weird stuff when I was a kid I used to rent the old Zorro show all the time.
I remember when I first heard about this movie years ago and made my boyfriend watch it with me over pizza, but I have no recollection of the actual contents of the movie aside from that there was definitely Whoopi Goldberg and a dinosaur. Weird how that ends up being the standout feature.
I think you’ve found your true calling, as an online reviewer, & I’m not even being sassy or smart (even though I pull both of those off rather well)
I’ve watched a few (tons!) of your shows/content etc & you’ve got an amazing ability to make those of us watching feel like we absolutely totally agree with you & don’t know how we can even buy or try anything at all, if it doesn’t have the Eddy (with a Y) stamp of approval or even better, the stamp of 😮 D E A T H 😮
So I hope you keep going in this direction, it’s as funny as hell & even educational at times.

I am greatful for the existence of this movie for the sole reason that it is probably what inspired Triceracop in Kung Fury.

This movie has a great post mortem on slash film. Puppets look a lot like the ones in that dinosaur tv show. Loved it when i was a kid

Ok. I never thought I would say this but I am somewhat attracted to Whoopi Goldberg in this movie. Was she hot at one point.

I am fully convinced this movie was not for anyone. Not for kids not for adults and no one ever liked it.

Theodore Rex looks entirely like a movie one would see on TV once and then never again.

it makes sense that Pons Maar, the lead puppeteer on this movie also did the "Dinosaurs" TV show.
